Electra Energy

Ioanna Angelaki is a policy officer and project manager at Electra Energy Cooperative. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master’s (LLM) in Energy and Climate Law from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. She is involved in national and European projects on energy communities, the role of local authorities in energy transition, and tackling energy poverty.

Electra Energy, founded in 2016 in Athens, Greece, is a certified social cooperative working to transition to a democratic, inclusive and sustainable energy system with citizens and local communities at its core. It works closely with citizens and local communities, municipalities and regional governments, academic institutions, and national and international governmental and non-governmental organistions. Its geographical focus is mainly on Greece, as well as on neighbouring Balkan countries and Cyprus.
