The European Energy Communities Facility supports energy communities across 31 European countries by providing funding and capacity building opportunities to ensure their projects are financially sustainable and built for long-term success. Through two call for proposals, the first one launched in June 2025 and the second one in May 2026, a total of 144 emerging energy communities the 27 EU countries, Iceland, Moldova, North Macedonia and Ukraine will receive lump sum grant of €45,000 to develop a business plan for their community energy project.
Unfortunately, we don't currently have any open calls for proposals, but we have mapped out financing opportunities across Europe to help you find funding for your project. Check them out!
We also invite you to check the technical assistance of the European Commission's Citizens Energy Advisory Hub, which will open a call for applications in September 2026.
