The project region is situated in a rural area encompassing several municipalities. These municipalities have already successfully established an energy community, primarily based on photovoltaic installations in private households and small businesses. As part of the “Foodprint 2030” vision, this energy community is now set for further development, with a focus on three strategic pillars: technological innovation, social inclusion, and sustainable, member-oriented growth.
Impact in the community
Integrated decentralised energy system with PV, wind, small hydro, biogas, storage, and EMS. CO₂ reduction: 15,300 t/year. EMS enables load flexibility, grid stability, scalability. Inclusive tariffs and citizen participation ensure acceptance. Re-investment strategy secures long-term viability and EU replication.
