A business plan to…

Develop of a model for a renewable energy community that increases local renewable electricity generation and enables collective sharing between rural and urban areas. The business plan will focus on replacing natural gas with renewable-based heating through the installation of heat pumps, while ensuring that community-generated solar PV electricity is efficiently used not only for heating but also for general household demand and electric mobility. At the same time, it will be grounded in detailed analysis of energy consumption patterns and proven energy efficiency potential in participating buildings, identifying cost-effective measures to reduce demand and improve overall system performance.

Agris Kamenders

"This project is about more than energy - it is about people working together to take control of their future. By connecting households, we are creating a shared system where solar energy powers our homes and heat pumps replace fossil fuels. It shows that energy communities can reduce costs, and build a cleaner, more resilient way of living."

Agris Kamenders - Chairman of the Energy Community

Impact in the community

The project will significantly reduce dependence on fossil fuels by integrating heat pumps across community buildings, supported by solar PV electricity. Building renovations will lower energy demand and improve comfort. By combining renewable generation with electrified heating, the community will achieve lower and more stable energy costs. A digital settlement system will ensure fair energy sharing, while the model strengthens cooperation between rural and urban households and supports a resilient, low-carbon energy system.
