A business plan to…

As a tiny village in Hungary, our goal is to create strong foundations for our energy community. Community engagement is at the heart of it for defining solutions that reflect the very needs of local households. Social innovation, where participative processes drive towards technology innovation and financial innovation methods for scalable, replicable solutions are the triple bottom line of our project. Our energy community will tackle energy powerty, energy efficiency of households, using our local resources such as firewood more efficiently and initiate a solar PV energy sharing grid. We investigate the electromobility rooted in grassroots sharing economy and other more advanced or emerging technologies, while respecting our natural and built environment. We are mapping solutions and building scenarios for the short, mid- and long run.

"This seed financing program is a true enabler for incubating our citizen-led energy community. We are a rare bird in the local landscape, but we believe that energy transition is crucial for empowering local communities and make rural life attractive for future generations."

Ida Kiss - project manager and mentor of the energy community

Impact in the community

We aim at supporting the resilient transition of the region to become more self-sufficient and future-proof. We expect, the energy community will support the retaining of population and attract new residents and small businesses alike and will lead to the revival of the local economy. Environmental protection is equall important to us as energy resilience and we will also reinvest our earnings into environmental awareness programs and financing of regenerative practices. Our community engagement activities are enablers of local self-governance.
