How a multilevel collaboration can drive clean energy action in cities

EUSEW 2025
European Sustainable Energy Week 2025.

The European Energy Communities Facility will be featured in a session of the European Sustainable Energy Week 2025, Europe’s biggest event dedicated to renewable energy, organised by the European Commission and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). This conference is a unique opportunity for energy communities and other stakeholders of the energy sector to come together, debate new policy developments, and build connections.

The session 'How a multilevel collaboration can drive clean energy action in cities' will address financial barriers in cities' energy transitions, highlighting the role of EU instruments like the European City Facility and the European Energy Communities Facility, and the opportunities they offer for cities and other local actors, such as energy communities. With the participation of European and local representatives, the session will discuss how we can jointly succeed through stakeholder contributions from various governance levels, financial institutions, and support facilities. Daan Creupelandt, Coordinator of REScoop.eu, will be the voice of the European Energy Communities Facility in the discussion.
