The European Energy Communities Facility will be featured in a session of the European Sustainable Energy Week 2026, Europe’s biggest event dedicated to renewable energy, organised by the European Commission and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). This conference is a unique opportunity for energy communities and other stakeholders of the energy sector to come together, debate new policy developments, and build connections.

The session 'Unlocking the potential of EU funds to drive a community-led, clean and competitive transition' will look at how to shape EU public funding streams (e.g.: Cohesion Policy) to more effectively support energy communities, contributing towards local resilience, energy security and driving competitiveness for SMEs. Sofia Corsi, coordinator of the European Energy Communities Facility, will represent the project in the discussion.
