Gabriele Galassi has a bachelor’s degree in Political and International Sciences (University of Bologna) and a double-degree Master MSc European Governance (Utrecht University) & MA Political Science (University of Konstanz). He has been with Ecorys since January 2022 and wrote his master thesis in parallel on the societal drivers behind the realisation of Energy Communities in Spain and Italy. Currently, his main thematic focus is on energy communities. Specifically, he is in the core team of the Rural Energy Communities Advisory Hub (DG ENER) facilitating the assistance to 3 Italian energy communities and as an expert supported the delivery of technical assistance to 4 Spanish energy communities, Gabriele supported in organising workshops on cross 27 border energy communities (DG REGIO), a member of the Green Deal Synergies Knowledge and Citizens working Group (DG RTD), and part of the team to “Support to Creation of Energy Communities in Czech Just Transition Regions” (DG REGIO).
