Marianne Ribes is an experienced project manager with expertise in EU-funded initiatives, currently coordinating the LIFE RECET project and managing Græna Orkan at Icelandic New Energy Ltd. She is skilled in engaging stakeholders through diverse roles, including PMO at Iceland’s Soil Conservation Service, fostering agency reorganization, and seminar organization on funding opportunities. She has an extensive background in environmental and energy sectors, including contract management for EDF and consultancy in project management at Schneider Electric. 16 She has proven ability to promote environmental awareness through NGO leadership (Gaia Iceland, Domaine Tilia) and community outreach initiatives, including lectures and seminars.

The company was formed in 1999 following a declaration from the Government of Iceland declaring (in 1998) that Iceland would like to explore the possibility of exchanging from a fossil fuel paradigm in transport. The company was formed as a public private partnership with key players from Iceland. The goal of the company was research and demonstration projects related to hydrogen technology in transport.
