Duurzaamheidsfonds

Managing entity

City of Amsterdam

Description of the fund

The Amsterdam Duurzaamheidsfonds is a revolving fund aimed at accelerating the city's transition to a climate-neutral and circular economy. By providing low-interest loans to VvE’s, social organizations, and businesses, it helps them overcome the high upfront costs of sustainability improvements, ensuring the savings on energy bills can be used to pay back the loan over time.

Application process & requirements

Location: The project or building must be in Amsterdam. Proven Impact: The measures must demonstrably lead to CO2 reduction, energy savings, or circularity. Technical Readiness: Applicants must provide a professional quote (offerte) and a clear description of the measures. Repayment Ability: As with all SVn-managed loans, there is a creditworthiness check to ensure the organization can meet the monthly interest and repayment obligations. Order of Process: Applicants must first apply to the Municipality for a "declaration of eligibility." Once received, they finalize the financial loan application with SVn.
