Description of the fund
Énergie Partagée Investissement provides project developers and local stakeholders with the equity capital needed to launch a project while ensuring that community control is preserved.
Énergie Partagée Investissement is a limited partnership with share capital and a citizen investment vehicle certified under the Fair‑Finansol solidarity finance label. The fund collects savings from citizens and invests them as equity in citizen‑led renewable energy project companies. It also represents citizens in the project’s governance with a long‑term perspective.
Application process & requirements
Only projects that have been awarded the Énergie Partagée label are eligible for funding. Before a project can even apply for funding, it must first obtain the Énergie Partagée label—the only quality label in the renewable energy sector—which evaluates projects based on 15 detailed criteria organized into five categories.
When a labelled project requests financial support from Énergie Partagée Investissement, an investment officer examines the project from technical, economic, financial, and legal angles. The officer assesses the strength of the project developers and supports them in consolidating the planned partnership structure.
This analysis may take several months. It is carried out in coordination with the project developers and contributes to improving the project. It may result in a refusal or lead to a financing proposal from Énergie Partagée Investissement or from complementary instruments.
